I like the IQbservable<T> e.g. LINQ to PowerShell.
Bart De Smet talks about IQbservable, at about 19 minutes in, and it enabling scenarios like LINQ to WMI Events or LINQ to PowerShell. Bart also talks about the Cloud and IQbservable implications. I highly recommend the video.

This morning I tweeted that as much as I love Rx I don’t think the mainstream will latch on. I think Bart just lost the remaining 8 people.
We need to wait and see. The job of the Rx Fx team is to take all that and make it available in intellisense for use mere mortals
